UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, has revealed that he has been battling breast cancer for several months and recently underwent major surgery as part of his treatment.
The founder of the Nxtion Family (formerly Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church) made the emotional disclosure in a video message shared with his congregation.
“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery, that’s why I am not there today,” he stated.
Tobi Adegboyega described his recovery as a divine sign, expressing gratitude for a second chance at life:
“I have just fought the battle, and I feel the verdict to continue life was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage.”
In a show of solidarity with others battling cancer, Pastor Adegboyega also announced a £100,000 donation toward cancer awareness and treatment for young people.
The revelation has prompted an outpouring of support across social media, with many Nigerians extending prayers and well-wishes for his full recovery.
This disclosure comes on the heels of a recent legal setback, as the pastor lost an appeal in a £1.87 million fraud case and continues to face deportation proceedings from the United Kingdom.
