The inferno destroyed property and valuables worth millions of Naira.
The actress verified the tragedy on social media, expressing thankfulness that no lives were lost but admitting she was devastated.
She captioned a video of the entire house being burnt:
“Devastated, I thank God no life was lost. It is well.”
The fire comes just days before the premiere of her new movie, Thinline, which is set to debut in cinemas.
This unfortunate event follows Mercy’s recent recognition at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production Awards (OAFP), where she received another accolade for her contributions to Nollywood.
The actress expressed gratitude for the journey in her career, reflecting on her achievements while preparing to move forward from this setback.
