Manchester United has initiated an inquiry to determine the individual responsible for disclosing confidential team news information.
The day preceding their 2-1 victory against Manchester City, an unauthorized team sheet revealed that both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho would not be included in the lineup.
This confirmation was made 24 hours after the official team sheet from Ruben Amorim was disseminated.
Currently, as reported by The Sun, Amorim has probed Garnacho and Amad Diallo regarding their potential involvement in the leak.
Nonetheless, sources within Manchester United assert that Garnacho’s exclusion was not connected to allegations suggesting that his brother played a role in the dissemination of team information.
Speaking after the game at The Etihad, Amorim said: “I know that story. I don’t know, I think it’s impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club, and the players talk with agents.
“I don’t know, you can talk with friends, so it’s hard to know. It’s not a good thing but let’s move on and go to the next one and see if they find the next starting XI.”
