Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have faced accusations of sexual assault, with a woman claiming she was assaulted by both of them at a party in 2000.
The initial lawsuit was filed against Combs in October, but the woman has now included Jay-Z as a defendant in the civil case.
The rapper has denied the allegations, stating that they are “heinous” and will have a negative impact on his family, which includes his three children.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he said. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
This makes Jay-Z the first celebrity to be accused of sexual assault in connection to Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied any wrongdoing in multiple civil lawsuits.
