Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, will be having surgery in Portugal for a health issue.
The 61-year-old will be having his gallbladder removed over the Christmas holidays. The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss confirmed the news himself.
Despite being in the dugout for Friday’s 1-1 draw at Eyupspor, Mourinho assured that the surgery is considered to be “minor.”
He wrote on Instagram: “For those of you that have shown concern, I can confirm reports of my surgery have been greatly exaggerated, it’s just a quick and minor procedure.
“I will resume training on the first day back from the holidays, as always.
“I’ve never missed a session in 25 years, and I don’t intend to start now.”
