At only 17 years old, Lamine Yamal has already established himself as a crucial player for Barcelona. He is expected to sign a long-term contract.
Catalan fans can rest easy knowing that the exceptional talent will remain at Camp Nou for the foreseeable future.
During the Golden Boy Awards ceremony in Turin, agent Jorge Mendes announced Yamal’s decision to continue his contract with the Blaugrana.
“Of sure, he will renew with Barcelona. “Lamine is a Barcelona fan,” Mendes confirmed, putting an end to doubts regarding the youngster’s future.
Currently sidelined with an ankle sprain, Yamal is expected to be out for three to four weeks, ruling him out of Barca’s clash with Atletico Madrid this weekend.
However, Mendes reassured fans about his recovery, stating, “It’s something he will recover from, and he’ll be fine soon.”
Yamal’s existing contract, which expires in 2026, was limited to three years due to his under-18 status.
Once he turns 18 next summer, he is expected to sign a six-year deal featuring a staggering €1 billion release clause—an agreement that has reportedly been finalized verbally
