A stampede at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in the Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja has resulted in an undisclosed number of deaths.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning during a food distribution event for vulnerable individuals.
Numerous individuals have been hospitalized as of the time of reporting. SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, has confirmed the tragic event.
