Ruben Amorim secured his first Premier League victory as Manchester United manager, defeating Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee each scored twice, to the joy of the new manager and United fans.
United’s intentions were evident from the start, with Rashford looking like his old self under Amorim’s direction.
The 27-year-old broke the deadlock in the 34th minute with a deflected shot after Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite made an ill-timed intervention.
Moments later, Branthwaite’s hesitation allowed Amad Diallo to pounce, setting up Zirkzee for United’s second goal just before halftime.
The second half began with United’s pressure, as Rashford doubled his tally with a well-timed finish after a brilliant assist from Amad.
The fourth goal came in the 64th minute, with Zirkzee capitalizing on Amad’s persistence and firing past Jordan Pickford.
Everton, who have struggled for goals recently, created few chances, with Beto missing their best opportunity in the first half.
Despite coming into the match with only one defeat in their last eight league games, Sean Dyche’s side was no match for a resurgent United.
The win marks a positive start to Amorim’s tenure, with two victories and a draw in his first three games.
However, a challenging test awaits as United face Arsenal midweek.
