Saudi Arabia Announced as Host Nation for 2034 FIFA World Cup

FIFA has officially announced Saudi Arabia as the 2034 FIFA World Cup host nation.

This decision, made at the Extraordinary FIFA Congress on Wednesday, follows the nomination of Morocco, Spain, and Portugal as co-hosts for the 2030 edition, with Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay slated to organize special commemorative matches.

Saudi Arabia will be the second Middle Eastern country to host the tournament, following Qatar’s successful hosting in 2022. The 2034 World Cup will also be the first to be hosted exclusively in one country, with 48 teams competing.
