Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has reacted to a fan’s question regarding her convincing depiction of a ‘runs girl’ character in Mercy Aigbe’s latest film, Thinline.
Damilola Made, a fan, came to X (previously Twitter) to query Yvonne’s personal experience as a prostitute, given how well she portrayed the character.
“Abeg I get one very important question to ask @iamyvonnejegede. So you don do Ashawo before you start acting because tell me how you acted that ashawo role so perfectly?” he tweeted.

Reacting to the post, Yvonne admitted that she was startled when she first saw her name mentioned alongside the word “ashawo.”
“I just woke up, picked up my phone, and this is what I saw. Immediately, I saw my name and saw ‘ashawo,’ sleep cleared from my eyes. I thought, ‘I don commit again.’ Thanks for the review. Thinline is an all-round beautiful story; make it a date,” she responded with a mix of humor and professionalism.

Her comical reply has drawn praise from fans, who admired her gracefully handling criticism while promoting the movie.
It is worth noting that Thinline faced a bit of a challenge, and public opinions after its release clashed with Funke Akindele’s ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa.’
