Highly acclaimed French forward Karim Benzema has dismissed rumors of his retirement at the end of the current season.
In a recent statement reported by Fabrizio Romano, Benzema labeled these rumors as “nonsense,” affirming his commitment to continue playing professional football.
“Retirement? Those stories are not true. It’s just nonsense. I feel good, I can play for many more years.”
Despite turning 37 and moving to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League in 2023 after his successful tenure at Real Madrid, Benzema has continued to excel on the field, proving his worth with impressive performances.
Speculation surrounding his future in football has been put to rest by his denial of retirement plans.
