Graham Potter, former Chelsea and Brighton manager, is poised to be unveiled as West Ham’s new head coach.
The Hammers fired manager Julen Lopetegui on Thursday.
This was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer specialist on X.
Romano wrote: “BREAKING: Julen Lopetegui has been sacked by West Ham, confirmed.
“Graham Potter set to become the new head coach with contracts being checked.”
The 49-year-old has been out of job since his dismissal from Stamford Bridge in 2023.
He was also drawing interest from Everton, another Premier League club considering a managerial change.
Potter will now return to London to try to salvage West Ham’s struggling season. Lopetegui departs the club in 14th place, with 23 points, seven points behind the relegation zone.
