Explosion rocks Trump’s Las Vegas hotel on New Year’s Day

A Tesla Cybertruck carrying fuel canisters and firework mortars exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tragically, the driver of the Cybertruck lost their life in the explosion, and seven other individuals were injured.

The rented truck from Colorado arrived in the city just hours before the incident took place on Wednesday morning.

Police said the vehicle, parked near a glass entrance of the Trump hotel, began emitting smoke before exploding.

President Joe Biden confirmed that the White House is monitoring the situation, and law enforcement is investigating any possible connection to the New Orleans attack where a vehicle drove into a crowd on New Year’s Day, resulting in ten deaths and over 30 injuries.

President Biden had while reacting to the New Orleans incident in a post on his official X handle, said the “FBI is taking the lead in investigation” describing the incident as an “act of terrorism”.
