AC Milan’s sporting director, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has acknowledged the challenges in securing Marcus Rashford’s potential transfer from Manchester United.
Nonetheless, Ibrahimovic is hopeful for discussions with the 27-year-old regarding the move.
Rashford has been linked with a move to Serie A club as he looks for a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford. The forward has been sidelined by new manager Ruben Amorim, leading to interest from Barcelona and Monaco.
Milan manager, Sergio Conceicao, has praised Rashford as a “good player”, with Ibrahimovic showing support for his former United teammate.
“I know him very well, I played with him when he was young, he is now an adult and established,” Ibrahimovic told Sky.
“He did great things with United and today that is his club. How to convince him? Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone wants to play here.
“This is a difficult operation, we’ll see if we can talk to him.”
