Actress Jemima Osunde has shared her traumatic experience of battling a life-threatening health condition after consuming contaminated food on a film set three years ago.
Taking to X, Jemima Osunde recounted the incident that changed her life forever.
She contracted Helicobacter pylori, a stomach-infecting bacteria, from the food provided on set, which led to a prolonged and debilitating struggle with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Osunde expressed deep regret over taking the job, which she believes has devastated her health.
The actress poignantly described the severity of her condition, revealing that her entire gastrointestinal tract has become her greatest enemy.

“I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.
Got H. pylori from set food and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last three years.
The past month has really been something. sigh. My own stomach is my greatest op. Actually, my entire GIT.”
