The leaving president, 82, threw a reception in the White House’s State Dining Room on Thursday to commemorate the record number of federal judges appointed during his tenure.
However, observant watchers observed the president had a nasty-looking mark on his left hand.
The coin-sized patch was dark purple in hue and resembled a bruise that had been partially disguised with makeup.
The bruise has sparked a wave of conspiracy theories online, including that he had intravenous medication recently.
