Jordyn Taylor Braff, who formerly dated comedian Trevor Noah, accuses him of “stealing” her jokes throughout their relationship. On Netflix’s Selling The City, Braff, a singer, model, and real estate agent, alleged that Noah plagiarized her material in his stand-up performances.
According to The Citizen, Braff discussed her three-year relationship with Noah, who hosts The Daily Show, in an honest confessional on the show.
She described herself as “the funnier one in the relationship” and alleged that Noah would often borrow from her humour. “Trevor borrowed me for material all the time,” she said. “I think I was the subject of jokes from time to time, but he would also steal my material, a hundred percent.”
Their relationship began in 2015 when Noah moved to the U.S. to take on his role as host of The Daily Show. Braff shared how they met in Manhattan, saying their encounter was “so random.” At the time, Noah was still largely unknown, and Braff admitted to feeling nervous. To ease her anxiety, she did lunges on the street, which caught Noah’s attention, and he liked her “weird” charm.
While their romantic relationship ended in 2018, Braff credited Noah for helping launch her real estate career in New York. “He ended up purchasing an apartment, and it was my first ultra-luxury deal. I think it was a $10-million deal,” she said, joking, “It is the only time you will ever hear I slept with a client.”
Braff also revealed that she and Noah had a very public relationship, attending events like the 2017 MTV Movie Awards together, where Noah won Best Host. Despite their breakup in 2018, Braff expressed fondness for Noah, telling fans in a 2019 Instagram Q&A, “Of course I love him. How could you not love him? I love him so much.”
