Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer, expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu should have released Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Adeyanju criticized Tinubu for continuing the same approach as former President Muhammadu Buhari, which he finds disappointing.
Posting on X, he wrote: “Tinubu should have released Nnamdi Kanu since.
“It is easier to criticize than to govern. This is why critics are usually bad leaders and examples abound all over the world and Africa. If in doubt, look at APC.”
Kanu has been in custody since June 2021, following his arrest in Kenya and subsequent extradition to Nigeria by security officials.
