The captain of Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo, criticized the credibility of the Ballon d’Or award.
He expressed his lack of surprise that Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. did not win the 2024 Ballon d’Or, which was awarded to Manchester City’s Rodri last year.
Despite having an impressive season with Real Madrid, including winning the Champions League, LaLiga, and Supercopa de España, Vinicius fell short of the prestigious award.
Cristiano Ronaldo believes that the Ballon d’Or lacks credibility in its selection process.
“Vini Jr. deserved to win the Ballon d’Or, but I’m not surprised… not only because I didn’t win it or not, but because it lacks credibility.
“He won the Champions League and scored goals,” Ronaldo said (as per journalist Fabrizio Romano on X).
