Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has refuted claims of being romantically involved with former BBNaija reality star Nengi.
There were speculations circulating that Nengi had a child with the Governor, who is already married to four wives.
Controversial blogger, Gistlover took to his page to share the picture of Nengi with the caption;
“SHALL WE?? By the way, she welcomed a child with a governor 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶… 5th wife in the making? Make I talk abi make I face front? All these girls be doing the most, owo ijoba na yansh dey chop am… this gist is super messy… all the hide and seek don end ooo 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶.”
In reaction to the claims, the spokesperson of the Bayelsa Governor, Diri Douye, Dr. Kola Oredipe, has described the claims as “baseless fabrications”.
Oredipe said: “Nengi Rebecca Hampson has no personal relationship with Governor Diri. Regrettably, purveyors of fake news are not happy with the towering political profile of the governor.”
This is a distraction, and some of us are very justified in the many reasons offered to regulate the use of various social media platforms,” the Governor’s aide added.
“Sadly, while we were inaugurating a brand new road in Yenagoa, social media e-rats were spreading falsehoods about the governor.”
