Kanye West has baffled fans after seemingly launching a bizarre feud with Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, through a series of cryptic Instagram posts on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old rapper appears to have teamed up with The Game to create a song about Tina, though the reason behind the move remains unclear.
West shared a video of The Game recording over a version of Beyoncé’s hit song Formation—the same tune played when Tina appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. He captioned the post: “TINA BY GAME PRODUCED BY ME.”
Adding to the confusion, Kanye posted a screenshot of what seemed to be The Game’s phone, showing a direct message sent to Tina containing a banana emoji. Kanye captioned the post: “This Game’s phone.”
He then shared another post with just the banana emoji and the caption: “Tear that monkey up,” raising further speculation about the cryptic messages.
Another video posted by West showed Tina in a red ensemble walking out to a choir, with the caption: “Game finna slide for the guys.”
Fans reacted with confusion and concern, with many questioning the intent behind Kanye’s posts. Some of the top comments read:
- “Ima be honest Ye, I have no idea what this is leading towards.”
- “Context would be really brilliant.”
- “Why is bro trolling Beyoncé’s mum?”
- “That’s enough for tonight, Mr. West.”
As of now, neither Tina Knowles, Beyoncé, nor The Game has publicly addressed Kanye’s posts.
