Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has assured victims of the Bodija explosion that relief funds will be disbursed immediately.
This commitment came on Wednesday as the Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, presented the committee’s report on the management and disbursement of the relief fund at the Oyo State Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
Governor Makinde emphasized that the state government “no longer has the luxury of further delay” and pledged that affected residents would promptly receive the necessary assistance and compensation.
The committee, inaugurated on December 24, 2024, was tasked with formulating recommendations for efficiently managing the relief fund.
With the report now submitted, all eyes are on the Oyo State Government to ensure a transparent and speedy disbursement process.
