On Monday, Bayern Munich confirmed the extension of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer’s contract until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, putting an end to rumors about his future amidst his previous deal set to expire at the end of the ongoing campaign.
Neuer, who has played over 500 matches for the Bavarian club, remains “the best goalkeeper of his generation and a Bayern icon,” said sporting chief Max Eberl.
The club expressed their delight at Neuer’s decision to stay, marking his 15th season with Bayern since joining Schalke in 2011.
