Music fans are buzzing as Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy, has accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye (Mr P), of orchestrating their elder brother Jude Okoye’s legal woes.
In a now-viral video, Paul alleged that Peter was responsible for Jude’s predicament and vowed to secure his release.
Jude Okoye was recently arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi over an alleged N1.38 billion fraud.
Speaking at the courthouse on Friday, Paul stated: “I’m out here to support Jude because I know the truth. Unfortunately, the way they made it look, he is a fraud. Let’s call a spade a spade—Peter is the one putting Jude in prison, and I am here to bring him out. Peter is my brother, but I’m standing for the truth. The same crime they are accusing him of, Peter is guilty, Paul is guilty.”
The Okoye brothers have had a history of public disputes, leading to the breakup of their music group, P-Square, in 2017. Their feud was fueled by internal family conflicts, with Jude often at the center.
Peter had previously accused Jude of mismanaging their career and demanded he step down as their manager, leading to a bitter separation before their eventual reunion in 2021.
Tensions flared again in August 2024 when Peter denied claims that he reported Paul to the EFCC, instead accusing Jude and his wife, Ifeoma, of diverting funds from their joint business, Northside Entertainment, through a secret company, Northside Music.
Their fallout deepened in November 2024 when Paul accused Peter of releasing ‘Winning,’ a song he claimed to have written for his album. He alleged that a producer they worked with had given Peter the song without his consent and warned that he would release original versions of any of his songs that were used without permission.
With Jude’s legal troubles intensifying, the Okoye brothers’ longstanding family dispute has once again taken center stage.
