Renowned Nigerian music executive Samklef has taken to social media to criticize popular Nigerian singer Davido after Tems won the Best African Music Performance.
The 67th Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, despite recent wildfires in the city.
Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” triumphed over tough competition, including Davido’s collaboration with Chris Brown, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, and Asake featuring Wizkid.
Sharing the video, Samklef accompanied it with the caption; “Covetousness is when you secretly desire something but condemn it simply because you couldn’t have it. The universe has its laws! Looks like Davido has finally learned. 😂.
Samklef went on to share a locally handmade plaque for the best Africam Music Performance for Davido as he continues to mock the superstar Afrobeats singer.
Sharing the fake plaque, Samklef wrote; “30bgs make una use this one hold body! 😂 next year davido go win the real one. Samklef of the 7th heaven!”
He added; “Please check on 30BGs o! 😂 Thank God say dem no dey bribe for Grammy—if not, we for no hear word today! At the end of the day, money can’t save you if you don’t have real talent. Tems won because she’s truly gifted. Now she has the house, the private jet, the expensive cars—but no unnecessary show-off. Just pure talent.”
“Burnaboy and Wizkid go Dey one place just Dey laff 😂 he wan win Grammy! 😂.”
