Saudi Arabia Announced as Host Nation for 2034 FIFA World Cup

Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.K. announced that alcohol will not be permitted at the 2034 World Cup.

Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud stated that alcohol will not be available for purchase anywhere during the tournament, even in hotels.

The issue of alcohol sales was a concern before the most recent World Cup in Qatar, another Muslim Saudi country Arabia’s with ambassador strict to controls the on U.K., alcohol.

However, Prince Khalid has stated that for the 2034 event, alcohol will not be available at all.

It’s worth noting that same-sex relations are illegal in Saudi Arabia and being transgender is not recognized. However, Prince Khalid has assured that everyone will be welcomed in Saudi Arabia for the World Cup.
