Gian Piero Gasperini, manager of Atalanta, has clarified his comments regarding Ademola Lookman after the winger’s outburst following the team’s loss to Club Brugge.
Lookman responded by saying the manager’s words were disrespectful. The coach now insists he did not intend to offend Lookman with his comment.
“Lookman felt offended, but I didn’t want to offend anyone. He entered with fantastic approach against Club Brugge,” he was quoted by TMW.
“If he starts training to improve on penalties… with his exceptional skills Ademola can become our first penalty taker.”
