Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has shared her thoughts on the ongoing controversy involving music star Burna Boy and Lagos socialite Sophia Egbueje.
Last week, social media was set ablaze after an audio recording surfaced in which Sophia alleged that Burna Boy slept with her but failed to fulfill his promise of buying her a Lamborghini.
Taking to her Instagram page, Angela Okorie expressed her disappointment, stating that while she does not encourage prostitution, Burna Boy took advantage of the situation, knowing that Sophia had already “named her price.”
Public Figures Should Lead by Example
Okorie criticized those who lack empathy, emphasizing that public figures should use their influence to impact lives positively.
“As a public figure, God placed you there to be a voice. You have lots of people following you, and you should impact lives positively,” she wrote.
She further condemned men who deceive women for intimacy, only to later mock them publicly.
“Only a coward and a man with low self-esteem will deceive a girl to sleep with her and then come on social media to laugh about it. No real man will do that.”
A Call for Kindness and Integrity
Angela urged celebrities and the public to treat people respectfully, noting that the world is already a difficult place.
“Everything is so expensive, and some people are just trying to survive. Enjoy life, but hurt nobody. Remember, there’s a God who sees everything.”
She concluded her message by reminding everyone that karma always comes full circle.
With this statement, Angela Okorie has joined the growing conversation around celebrity accountability, urging male entertainers to uphold their promises and act with integrity.
