A luxury detective page on Instagram has accused comedian AY Makun of flaunting a counterfeit Hermes bag online.
AY Makun had posted a photo of himself carrying a Hermes designer bag on his page. However, the Instagram page T20Luxury, which showcases designer products and their prices, exposed the bag as fake.
In their post, T20Luxury warned the comedian against endorsing fake products and urged him not to support producers of counterfeit items by purchasing from them.
Sharing AY Makun’s photo and the photo of the original Hermes bag, the page wrote;
“As a key stakeholder in the entertainment industry and a beneficiary of genuine creativity, it is more honorary to refrain from supporting the counterfeit fashion industry. Upholding authenticity is important to preserving our reputation as leaders within the Black community.”
