However, the post was met with criticism, with many accusing her of ignoring pressing national issues, particularly Raye’s viral video criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s government over inflation and hardship.
The corps member’s bold remarks led to reports that she was facing threats from NYSC officials, further intensifying public outrage. Amid the heated discourse, Ayra Starr’s post was seen as tone-deaf, with many urging her to use her platform to amplify important issues.
A user, @Obaji_esq, criticized the singer, writing:
“Can’t you see that today is about calling out bad government? Can’t you use your platform for once and talk about the real issues? Must you post your face and body?”
Another critic, @PapiJruee, urged the star to speak up:
