Atletico’s defense faltered under relentless pressure, and Lamine Yamal delivered the decisive blow—a long-range effort that deflected into the top corner. Torres sealed the victory in stoppage time, ensuring a memorable 4-2 triumph.
With this victory, Barcelona move ahead in the title race, setting up an intense Catalan derby against Girona on March 30. Atletico, meanwhile, will look to bounce back against Espanyol on March 29.
The two sides are set to clash again in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg on April 2, with a place in the final against either Real Madrid or Real Sociedad at stake.
