Victor Boniface has humbly requested patience from Nigerians as he continues his goal drought with the Super Eagles.
Despite appearing in 12 matches, the three-time African champions are still awaiting his first goal.
The 24-year-old finally scored during Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 win over Bochum on Friday night, marking his 11th goal of the season for Xabi Alonso’s team.
In an Instagram story, Boniface reached out to Nigerian fans, asking for their understanding as he works to end his international goal drought.
“Nigerians please be patient with me, the goal will come,” he posted.
