Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has extended his contract with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen by another year.
The new deal will keep him at the club until 2029 and he is now one of the highest-paid players on the team.
Despite the contract extension, Leverkusen is open to selling him for a fee of at least €50m, with clubs from Saudi Arabia showing interest in the player.
Boniface originally joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 from Belgium’s Union Saint-Gillloise and has already won the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal in his first season with the club under manager Xabi Alonso.
