Two TikTokers in Kano have been sentenced to either one year in prison or a N100,000 fine by a magistrates’ court for posting videos considered offensive to religious and moral values in the state.
Ahmad Isa and Maryam Musa, both of Ladainai in Hotoro Quarters, were arrested by the Kano State Censorship Board and charged with criminal conspiracy and distributing illicit content on social media.
They pleaded guilty in court, where Justice Hadiza Muhammad Hassan presided over the case and advised the convicts to maintain good behavior.
