Popular TikTok user Murja Ibrahim Kunya has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kano State on charges of mutilating and abusing Naira, notably by spraying money, which is against Nigerian law.
Murja Kunya is presently being held by the EFCC, a commission source told Freedom Radio Kano.When it comes to people who randomly spray money at parties and birthday celebrations, the EFCC has been stepping up its prosecution.

Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris are two additional TikTok influencers who were recently arrested by the commission on similar charges.
Neither the EFCC nor the attorneys for Murja Ibrahim Kunya have yet to make a public remark on the subject.
