EPL: You don’t deserve end-of-season bonuses – Guardiola tells Man City players, staff

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that his players will not be receiving any bonuses at the end of the season, even if they are victorious in the Club World Cup.

The team is focused on reaching the FA Cup semi-final and securing a spot in the Champions League after facing challenges throughout the campaign.

Winning the Club World Cup could potentially bring in £97 million in prize money and increase the club’s transfer budget.

Despite offering large bonuses for success in the Champions League, City’s players will not be receiving additional payouts for winning in America.

“We don’t deserve it this season,” Guardiola said.

“We don’t deserve a bonus this season. If we win, the bonus is for the club. Managers, staff, players—we don’t deserve it. Not even a watch.”

City have been drawn against Wydad, Al Ain, and Juventus in their Club World Cup group and could face Real Madrid in the early knockout rounds.
