Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, have been found guilty on all five counts in their federal wire fraud trial, a Florida jury ruled.
The duo was accused of scamming businesses out of over $1 million, allegedly using fraudulent schemes to acquire luxury cars, high-end jewelry, and other expensive items.
While reading the verdict, Kingston reportedly broke down in tears and pleaded for his mother’s well-being.
Turner, deemed a flight risk, was immediately taken into custody, while Kingston remains on house detention until their sentencing on July 11.
Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years, meaning the pair could face decades behind bars if given the full sentence.
