President Donald Trump once again claimed that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 would not have happened under his leadership.
He made this statement during a press briefing on Air Force One, where he also mentioned the loss of hundreds of lives in Ukrainian cities in the past week.
It is worth noting that the invasion took place while Joe Biden was serving as President of the United States.
When asked during the gaggle if he would consider lifting the intel pause on Ukraine, Trump said, “We want to do anything we can to get Ukraine to be serious about getting something done.
“I will think right now they haven’t, but I think they will be, and I think it’s going to become evident over the next two or three days.
“This week, hundreds of people died in cities in Ukraine, and we got to get it stopped. It would have never happened if I was president.”
This is coming after Trump recently paused all military aid to Ukraine amid the country’s ongoing war with Russia.
