Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shown willingness to collaborate with U.S. President Donald Trump and reach a “strong agreement.”
Zelenskyy stated his commitment to working alongside Trump to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
In a post on X platform, the Ukrainian president emphasized the importance of releasing prisoners and prohibiting the use of missiles, long-range drones, and bombs by Russia as the initial steps towards achieving this goal.
According to Zelenskyy: “My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.
“We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and a truce in the sky — a ban on missiles, long-range drones, and bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and a truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same.
“Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the U.S. to agree on a strong final deal.
“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence.
“And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.”
A few days ago, Zelenskyy traveled to Washington with the aim of signing a mineral deal with Trump.
The deal was meant to pave the way for a peace agreement with Russia.
