Liverpool Crash Out of Champions League as PSG Triumph on Penalties

Liverpool’s Champions League journey ended in heartbreak as Paris Saint-Germain secured a 4-1 penalty shootout victory after a tense 1-1 aggregate draw at Anfield.

Ousmane Dembélé capitalized on a defensive mistake in the 12th minute, leveling the tie and setting the stage for a dramatic night.

Despite both sides creating clear-cut chances, wasteful finishing and outstanding goalkeeping forced the match into a decisive penalty shootout.

Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones missed their spot-kicks, while PSG remained clinical, converting all four penalties to book a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The loss was a crushing blow for Mohamed Salah, who was seen in tears as Liverpool’s treble hopes ended in front of their home fans.
