Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has received fans’ outpouring of love and support after YouTube took down her latest movie, Love In Every Word, over a copyright claim.
The film, which had over 7 million views in just 72 hours, was flagged following a copyright infringement claim by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry, a Canada-based network engineer and the owner of Skyberry Studios, an Abuja-based photography and aerial videography business.
Omoni, who previously faced a copyright issue last year that led her to take down another movie, now finds herself in a similar situation.
A quick check on her YouTube page shows that the video has been removed, with a message stating:
“This video is no longer available due to copyright claims by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry.”
Fans and colleagues have since rallied behind Omoni, expressing frustration over the takedown and urging her to resolve the issue swiftly.
