Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has lashed out at a man who sent her a direct message (DM) offering himself for “sale,” referencing an old statement she made about buying any man she wanted.
The Origin of the Controversy
In a recent Instagram post, Nkechi recalled an incident three years ago when she had a conversation with a male friend during an Instagram Live session.
During the discussion, her friend claimed that only older or married men would be interested in her. Nkechi, however, countered his claim, stating that she also receives advances from younger men.
To further emphasize her point, she jokingly said:
“What if I decide to buy any man of my choice?”
Bloggers misinterpreted her comment, who took it out of context and spread false narratives about her, leading to heavy backlash from both men and women online.

Fast-forward to the present. A man recently slid into Nkechi’s DM, referencing the old statement and offering himself for her to “buy.”
This infuriated the actress, who took to Instagram to blast him.
“I don’t know who you are, where you are sitting in the comfort of your home trying to bring out a narrative that will dent my image, but I say this to you today—it will never be well with you!”
She also made it clear that she no longer chases clout or trends unnecessarily and has been making more money since stepping away from social media drama.
“Ignore, they say, until it affects you indefinitely. Enough is enough!”
