Talent manager and Tiwa Savage’s estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, also known as Teebillz, has issued an apology to media personality Toke Makinwa for criticizing her remarks on the divorce situation involving 2Baba and Annie Idibia.
Makinwa was one of the first celebrities to respond to 2Baba’s separation announcement on Sunday, January 26, 2025. She advised 2Baba to be prepared for opposition from her and others for deciding to divorce Annie.
Teebillz did not take kindly to Makinwa’s comments and warned her to stay out of other people’s family matters. He suggested that Makinwa had not reached the same level of forgiveness and love as women who have children with their partners.
The reaction from Teebillz caused a stir on social media, with many speculating on its potential impact on his relationship with Makinwa, especially considering her friendship with Teebillz’s ex-wife, Tiwa Savage.
In a twist of event, Teebillz took to his Instagram page on Saturday to apologise to Toke Makinwa, admitted that he overreacted.
He explained that he acted out of character because of his love for 2Face and Annie.
He also expressed readiness to privately apologise to the media personality and settle their differences.
Teebillz wrote, “My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character bcos of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and lack of understanding of the current occurrences.
“I hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully I get the chance to privately apologise to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of. Hope you forgive my emotional incompetence pls @tokemakinwa.”
