Tina Knowles, mother of American singer and actress Beyoncé, has disclosed that her daughter has decided to stop pursuing acting.
It has been over a decade since Beyoncé last appeared in a film, with her most recent roles being as a voice actress in 2019’s “The Lion King” and 2024’s “Mufasa,” in which she starred alongside her daughter Blue Ivy.
Knowles confirmed that her daughter has no intentions of making a comeback to acting.
Sharing a clip of Beyoncé as Etta James via her social media, Tina captioned: “[Cadillac Records] is still one of my favorite movies and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this movie. And she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix house.”
Before quitting acting, the singer starred in blockbusters like ‘Carmen: A Hip Hopera,’ ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember,’ Oscar-winning ‘Dreamgirls’ and a few more classics.
