UEFA is currently looking into allegations of “indecent conduct” against four Real Madrid players following their Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
The defending champions made it through to the quarter-finals after a tense penalty shoot-out against Atletico in the round of 16.
The second leg of the match took place at the Wanda Metropolitano, where Atletico emerged victorious with a 1-0 win, leading to extra-time and ultimately a shoot-out that Real won.
However, Real Madrid’s actions following the game caused controversy, with the hosts submitting four video clips to UEFA highlighting the inappropriate behavior of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jnr, Dani Carvajal, and Antonio Rudiger.
With less than two weeks to go before their quarter-final clash against Arsenal, UEFA is now conducting an investigation into the players’ conduct.
A UEFA statement read: “A UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to investigate allegations of indecent conduct by Real Madrid CF players (Antonio Rüdiger, Kylian Mbappé, Daniel Ceballos Fernández and Vinicius Junior) during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match between Club Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid CF on 12 March 2025.”
