Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has made the decision to exclude Andre Onana from the squad traveling to face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.
This comes after showstopper errors in their recent Europa League match against Lyon.
In place of Onana, Altay Bayindir will make his Premier League debut at St James Park. He may return for the next leg against Lyon, depending on Bayindir’s performance.
Despite Amorim’s public support of the goalkeeper after the draw in Lyon, he has opted to give the goalkeeper a break and allow him to clear his head.
Manchester United currently sits in 13th place with seven games remaining in the season.
