Kevin De Bruyne, midfielder for Manchester City, has been surprised by the club’s choice to not extend his contract.
The Belgian player’s current deal with the Etihad ends this season and he has confirmed his departure from Pep Guardiola’s team in June.
After 10 seasons with City, De Bruyne is attracting interest from several clubs as he prepares to become a free agent in 2025.
He told Aadamp9, “There was a little bit of shock as I didn’t have any offer from Man City the whole year.
“Obviously I was a bit surprised but have to accept it.
“I still think I can perform at this level but I understand clubs have to make decisions”.
