Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has officially announced his departure from the Premier League club at the conclusion of the current season.
In a social media post on Friday, De Bruyne said “these will be my final months as a Manchester City player”.
The Belgian, who joined City in 2015 from Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of £54.5m, will see his contract expire this summer.
During his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, the 33-year-old has collected an impressive trophy cabinet, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and a Champions League victory.
De Bruyne was a key part of Pep Guardiola’s successful treble-winning campaign in the 2020/21 season.
Despite receiving interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia last summer, he opted to continue his career in England.
