Pascal Gabriel Dozie, the founder of the now-defunct Diamond Bank Plc, has passed away at the age of 85.
He died on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, just a day before his 86th birthday after a battle with an age-related illness.
Dozie was known for his role in establishing Diamond Bank, a prominent financial institution in Nigeria before its merger with Access Bank.
He had served as the bank’s chairman before passing the leadership to his son, Uzoma Dozie.
He is survived by his wife, Chinyere Dozie, and five children, as well as other relatives.
