EPL: Salah mocks Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool title win

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has playfully teased former manager Jürgen Klopp while praising current boss Arne Slot for his new role at the club.

Salah mentioned that Slot is more attentive to the players’ input, allowing him to focus less on defending and more on attacking. The Egyptian player credited Slot’s tactical approach for his improved performance this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Salah said: “You can see the numbers. Now I don’t have to defend much. The tactics are quite different. I said ‘as long as you rest me defensively I will provide offensively’, so I am glad that I did. He listened a lot and you can see the numbers.

“When you play in the Premier League you have to defend but I said that I can gamble and somehow I can make a difference. My number of assists shows that you can create chances as well.”

Salah’s remarks come as he led Liverpool to win the Premier League title with a 5-1 victory against Tottenham.

He has been a key player for the team, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists in 34 matches this season. His efforts have been instrumental in Liverpool securing their 20th league title.
